Since  most  of the homes we  make  are shipped a great distance to the final building site,  and since quality is the cornerstone of our success, we strive to maintain the highest quality throughout, the entire manufacturing process.  We start by grading the best structurally sound raw materials, we then precision mill  and precut each home. Each individual component must pass a  final quality standard inspection before  it is packaged for shipment.  We make sure you will get the best quality log home possible.  

Since Ayrewood Log Homes ships all over the USA and Canada quality is very important --- our average shipping distance is around 2000 miles from the factory.  To ensure the highest quality, after all log components are precision profiled, precut, notched, drilled, and coded,  the components are stringently checked in our pre-assemble program.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

At Ayrewood Log Homes the manufacturing process starts out by selecting top quality woods from slow growth northern forests.  Cants are then sawn and stacked in air drying packages.  The seasoned cants are then profiled on our custom designed and built log profiler machine. Precision milled logs are then directed to the precutting line which includes our 4 head, laser aligned, hydraulic log notcher. The log notcher ensures a perfect fit at every notch. This is important because much of the structural strength of a log home comes from the  notched log corner intersections..
